With the cost of gifts going up and Santa’s budget going down.
It’s getting harder for Santa when making his rounds.
But Santa’s got a plan; Santa’s saved the day,
He’ll cut costs, He’s gonna hitchhike to L.A.
There are songs that are sung about prancing reindeer hooves
But last year they took out twelve thousand rooves.
The insurance said they wouldn’t pay
So now Santa’s goin’ to hitchhike his way to L.A.
Hitchhiking wasn’t his first position,
But he just couldn’t meet the reindeer emissions.
He’ll leave the sleigh in Reno, walk the I-80 highway,
Stick out his thumb -- And hitchhike the byway.
Hitching a ride was one solution, maybe he can get a ride
In a truck or empty moving van so the gifts will fit inside.
But it wouldn’t be Santa without a backup plan, for planning is Santa’s great gift
If he can’t catch a ride in a car or a van,
There’s always Uber or Lyft.
So, if on Christmas Eve you see Saint Nick on the way
Carrying a sack full of gifts an’ thumbing towards L.A.,
Give him a ride, for you never know…. You just might improve
Your naughty / nice ratio.
Restructuring Santa

This is the 2016 Christmas Poem
It was printed originally in Red and Green.... Not for any
artistic reason, but ‘cause the black printer ink was too
low to print out all the copies we needed.
(But don’t tell anyone, ‘cause maybe they think it was red
and green for because of the season)
